Sex, Color and Character

It’s surprising how our response to an idea can be skewed by the sex or race of whoever shared the idea.

I don’t consider myself a feminist, but I empathize with my female friends. I wish ideas could be presented or received on a gender-neutral basis. Let the idea stand or fall on its own merit.

Marty King said, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”

My friend heard that and said, “Good! Now we can call a jerk a jerk, regardless of race, creed, or color.”
